What is there to do in the area and where can we stay?
In our neighborhood (the Historic Huffman) there is 5th Street Brew Pub and DK Effect, a retro video game bar, both just a few blocks away. Further into downtown, just a straight shot down 3rd Street, is Tender Mercy, a lounge built underground with craft cocktails and super trendy ambiance. Not far from there are the bars in the Oregon District.
As far as accommodations go, we recommend the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Dayton which also has a couple of bars and brewpubs located walking distance from it including Lock 27, Mudlick Taphouse, and Brixx Ice Company.
